Privacy Policy

Last updated: February 2025

Overview

Private Image Compressor is designed so your images never leave your device. We do not upload, store, or have access to your files. This policy describes the only data we do collect: anonymous usage information via Google Analytics when you visit our website.

What We Don’t Collect

We do not collect, receive, or have access to your images, file names, or any file content. All compression happens in your browser on your device. No image data is sent to our servers (we don’t have any for this tool).

Google Analytics

We use Google Analytics to understand how people use the site (e.g. number of visitors, which pages are used, and general usage of the tool). This helps us improve the service.

Google Analytics may collect information such as:

  • Approximate location (e.g. country or region), derived from IP address
  • Device and browser type
  • How you use the site (e.g. pages visited, events such as “image compressed” or “image downloaded”—we do not send any image data, only that the action occurred)
  • Cookies and similar technologies used by Google

This data is processed by Google according to their Privacy Policy and How Google uses data when you use our partners’ sites or apps. We do not sell your personal information. We use Analytics only in a way that does not identify you personally (e.g. aggregated statistics).

Your Choices

You can opt out of Google Analytics by:

Changes

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top will be revised when we do. Continued use of the site after changes means you accept the updated policy.

Contact

If you have questions about this privacy policy or our use of Google Analytics, you can contact us via the link on the main page (e.g. Ko-fi or other contact method you provide).
